●Disconnect negative (-) ground cable first

●Disconnect positive (+) cable. now you can begin working on your battery. remove battery nut and bolt from

   terminal. inspect cables for frayed or broken cables

●Thoroughly clean battery cable ends, battery posts and all other areas of corrosion

●Reconnect positive (+) cable first and then negative (-) cable. metal-to-metal contact is essential for a good

   connection, tighten battery bolts
